Arcadia Contemporary is pleased to present “Echoes and Grace,” a solo exhibition featuring new paintings by acclaimed British artist Mary Jane Ansell, on view October 17 through November 15, 2026.
Drawing inspiration from the great masters of art history, Ansell explores the dialogue between past and present, reinterpreting classical imagery through contemporary narratives and personal symbolism. Referencing artists such as Botticelli and Boucher, her latest paintings bring together historical influences and a distinctly contemporary sensibility.
Reflecting more than three decades of artistic exploration, “Echoes and Grace” reveals Ansell’s evolving approach to traditional painting techniques, materials, and composition, creating new connections between the familiar and the unexpected.
